Shuang (Sammi) Wang, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Liver Diseases at Mount Sinai NY. She received her PhD from the University of Toronto followed by postdoctoral training at Mount Sinai with Drs. Kirsten Sadler and Scott Friedman. Dr. Wang has a longstanding interest in liver biology and disease. Her major discoveries include an epigenetic crosstalk that controls mammalian liver regeneration and an autocrine signaling circuit that emerges in hepatic stellate cells in advanced liver fibrosis. Her current NIH funded research program focuses on epigenetic mechanisms that regulate cell identity and memory, and the application of which to treat liver diseases.
